Your Online Application

You may choose to complete our admissions application online. We comply with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and the applicable provisions of the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA) in protecting the educational records of our students. Information entered on your online admissions application form will be used to determine your admissibility and to register you for your selected education program upon acceptance to The College of Westchester.

After you submit your online application, your application data will be removed from your application account on the Admission portal. If you begin an online application, your in-progress application account will be kept active for 1 year following your last date of access.  After this period of time, your Username and Password will become invalid and will require creating a new username and password to begin completing a new application.

We will not sell, rent or lease any data you enter into the online admissions application and will not use or disclose such data for purposes other than reviewing your admissibility, admitting and registering you as a CW student, and providing educational services.

If you decide to pay the application fee as part of the submission of your application, for billing purposes, we may share your name, address, and other personal  and financial information with a third party billing processor for billing purposes only.  Please note your obligation described below to notify the webmaster of any unauthorized access to your account and your responsibility for any account charges, loss or damage before such notification occurs.

Information Security

The security of your personal information is important to us. We take commercially reasonable measures and follow generally accepted standards to protect against the loss, misuse or alteration of the information under our control, and to protect our computers, networks, servers, data, and systems from unauthorized access or malicious activity; however, we cannot guarantee the performance or adequacy of such security measures.

If you choose to use our online admissions application process, it is your responsibility to protect your user name and password. You agree to notify webmaster@cw.edu if you become aware of unauthorized use of your Username or Password and any other breach of security including unauthorized charges to your credit card account.  You agree that unless and until we receive notification from you of any such security violation, we are not responsible for any credit card account charges or other losses or damage.
